Reclaim Overdue Taxes

Reclaim Overdue Taxes

If you are not a taxpayer, or your income unexpectedly decreases for a year, you will know that you have been over-taxed, as HMRC assumes that your allowance will be deducted every year. The same amount is used in a month.

To reclaim, fill out the R40 form from HMRC or call them.

Benefit From Employee Tax

 Get a Season Ticket Loan

Some owners will offer you a tax-free loan to buy season tickets, which will save you hundreds of dollars on travel expenses. Ask your employer if they are part of the Small Business Accountants in Walsall scheme.

 Claim Tax-Free Childcare

Under the tax-free childcare scheme, you can reimburse up to 500 per 25% of your childcare costs every three months. You must meet the required criteria, including having a child under 11 and earning less than 100 100,000.

Alternatively, your employer may intend to start a payroll child care scheme. These are easy to set up and can result in significant savings for both employees and employers.

 Get a Company Car

If you are entitled to a company car, consider whether paying for it in cash would be more tax effective.

 Switch to a Low-Emission Car

If you are replacing your company's car, consider the low emission model. It is now taxed at a lower percentage of their list price than cars with higher CO2 ratings.

Reduce Taxes on Your Savings

 Maximize Your Personal Savings Allowance

If you are a basic rate taxpayer, in 2020-21, you can earn savings on tax-free interest on 1,000. If you are a top taxpayer, your tax-free allowance is £ 500.

You will only pay tax on the savings income that exceeds this limit.

It will no longer be automatically deducted by the savings provider. If tax is due, you will need to pay by self-assessment or deduct it through PAYE.

Remember that you will not have an additional rate (45%) as a taxpayer savings allowance.
